Help unlock the mysteries of FPIES!

May is the month for raising awareness and funds to fight FPIES! Our $31,000 by May 31st campaign builds on the idea that when people come together, we can create hope and make incredible things happen.

Imagine feeding your baby rice cereal for the first time. Fast forward two hours to episodes of vomiting so severe that they leave your child pale, lethargic, and showing signs of shock. The scenario repeats itself with oats, this time landing your child in the emergency room. This is how the journey begins for many children suffering from Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES), a form of food allergy that affects the gastrointestinal system.

May 4th is National FPIES Awareness Day, and the month of May is Food Allergy Awareness Month. Today, you can make an impact in honor of a loved one by establishing a page to raise awareness and funding for the fight against FPIES. Register your personal fundraising page, share your family’s FPIES story, set a fundraising goal, and ask friends and loved ones to join you by visiting your page and making a contribution toward your goal.

You can help researchers come closer to finding the answers for patients with FPIES! The International FPIES Association is currently funding a groundbreaking research study on the genetics and pathophysiology of FPIES. Led by the Bambino Gesù Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), this study is crucial to develop specific therapeutic strategies for the condition.

In addition to this promising research, your contributions also make possible the third FPIES Education Conference (in early planning stages) as well as our national and international outreach effort to ensure that all medical professionals have access to the new guidelines for FPIES.

The International FPIES Association (I-FPIES) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been working on behalf of FPIES patients and their families since 2010. We rely on the generosity of our community to fulfill our mission and create real, impactful change for the FPIES community.

Help us meet our goal of $31,000 by May 31st to fight FPIES. When you fundraise with friends and family, you bring us closer to finding the answers and discovering a cure.

Thank you for your support!
